Third Generation Computer
The third generation computer was introduced in 1964 and lasted until 1971. The significant change with this generation was the use of integrated circuits. The use of these circuits were both reliable and economical. These changes allowed computers to be made for general audiences, because of their smaller size and faster operating times.
